Wilma Reed

Wilma Bryson Reed , 93 , of Clayton , Ga. , widow of Lester Reed , died Tuesday April 19 , 2016 in Highlands, N.C. Born in Scaly Mountain , N.C. , January 13 , 1923 , She was the daughter of the late Arthur Bryson and Viola Vinson Bryson.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband , Lester Reed , and several brothers and sisters and is survived by two sons , Larry Reed (Jan) of Nokesville , VA. and Clinton Reed of Clayton , two daughters , Clara Reed Nix of Clayton , Ga. and Jennifer Reed Thomas of Brevard , N.C. two brothers, Fred Bryson of Gastonia , N.C. and Dennis Bryson of Rock Hill , S.C. one sister , Doris Tallent of Gastonia , N.C. , nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren and one great great grandchild also a special friend , Jeanine Legeyt of Franklin, N.C. Several nephews , nieces and cousins also survive.

A Celebration of Life will be at Macedonia Baptist Church in the Satolah community Friday April 22, 2016 at 2:00 P.M conducted by Rev. Everette Wilson and Rev. Ralph Campbell. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The body will be taken to the Church where visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Friday April 22 , 2016 (The funeral hour). The family is at the home of her daughter , Clara Nix on Hwy 28 N. Clayton , Ga.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made , in her memory , to Macedonia Cemetery Fund , 722 Timbelane Rd. Clayton , Ga. 30525.
