William Carlton Welborn, 79, of Germany Road Clayton, Georgia, died April 7, 2010 in Gainesville, Georgia.
Born in Rabun County Georgia May 14, 1930 he was the son of the late Lex Welborn and Bertha Holcomb Welborn. He was retired from the Georgia Department of transportation and was Baptist by Faith
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of many years Inez Williams Welborn.
He is survived by four sisters, Lillian Queen of Dublin GA, Naomi McClain of Rabun Gap, GA, Lenora Robinson and Louise Henslee both of Tiger, GA, one aunt, Helen Littleton of Clarkesville, GA. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM Sunday, April 11, 2010 at the Hunter Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Raburn Wilson and Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in the Head of Tennessee Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 9 PM Saturday, April 10, 2010. The family is at their respective homes.
