William (Billy) Virgil Nichols 38, Habersham County, GA.
William (Billy) Virgil Nichols, 38, of Habersham County, Georgia, died Monday March 21, 2011 at his residence.
Born in Rabun County, Georgia, June 10, 1972 to Rev. Joe Nichols, and the late Ann Gardner Nichols. He was a Medical Instructor and teacher at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center. He also was a fireman, EMT, and a paramedic on the Emory Flight Line Helicopter for five years. Billy was a graduate of the Rabun County High School class of 1990 and attended Gainesville State College; he was also a member of the Mountain Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother and by his grandparents Aubra and Stella Nichols and William and Margaret Asher Gardner.
He is survived by his loving father Rev. Joe Nichols, several relatives and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 25, 2011 at the Battle Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Doyle Patterson, Rev. Glenville Nichols officiating. Burial will be at the Persimmon Community Cemetery with Rev. Gary Ashe officiating. Graveside services, with full Public Safety Honors, conducted by the Hall County Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends at Hunter Funeral Home Thursday, March 24, 2011 from 6 To 9 P.M.
The family is at the home of his father in the Persimmon Community.
