Weda Nichols Bryson, 87, of Clayton, Georgia., died Saturday May 3, 2014 in Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville, Georgia.
She was born in Towns County, Georgia September 7, 1926 to Glen Nichols and Lola Eller and had lived most of her life in Rabun County. She was the widow of Loy G. Bryson.
Weda operated the Western Auto Store, along with her husband, Loy G. Bryson, for eighteen years. She was a member of Battle Branch Baptist Church.
She is survived by two step daughters; Pollyann Matson of Cumming, GA., and Toni McClure (Tim) of Clayton, GA., one brother, Rev. Glenville Nichols of Clayton, GA., two nieces; Denice Williams of Hiawassee, GA, Donna Pendry of Clayton, GA., two nephews; Dwight Wood of South Carolina and Phillip Wood of Hiawassee, GA., three grandchildren; Mark Matson, Eric Matson and Casey Kissel and three great-grandchildren; Avens Matson, Grace Kissell and Anabel Kissell.
The body has been cremated and a memorial service will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday May 6, 2014 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Pastor Madison McCrackin and Rev. Glenville Nichols officiating. A visitation time will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. (The Funeral Hour).
