Wanda Maxine Ledford Pittman, 69, of Woodstock, Georgia., died Sunday September 22, 2013 in Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia.
Born in Rabun County August 7, 1944 she was the daughter of the late Howard L. Ledford and Eva Mae Hooper Ledford. She was a teacher’s aid in the Cobb County School System and a homemaker. She was a member of the Head of Tennessee Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death, besides her parents, by a sister, Brenda Smith and is survived by her husband, Charles K. Pittman; by two sons, Dean Burton (Wendy) of Laurens, SC., and Charles K. Pittman, Jr., of Woodstock, GA. One daughter, Sharon D. Arneson (Jim) of Woodstock, GA. Three brothers, Benson Eugene Ledford of Rabun Gap, GA., Lawrence and Howard Ledford, Jr. of Hollywood, GA. Seven Sisters; Helen Lewis and Katherine Ledford of Turnerville, GA., Carrie Black and Virginia Frankum of Habersham County, Martha Hazel and Lizzle Sugg of Hollywood, GA., and Gail Stancil of Toccoa, GA. Four grandchildren, Tora Burton, Will Burton, Jamie Arneson and Eva Arneson and one great grandson; Noah Workman. Several nephews, nieces and cousins also survive.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday September 25, 2013 at the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in the Head of Tennessee Cemetery Dillard, Georgia.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends Wednesday September 25, 2013 from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 P.M. (The funeral hour). The family is at their respective residences.
