Virgil J. “Buster” Watts, 85, of Tiger, GA., died Tuesday September 12, 2017 in Friendship Nursing Home in Cleveland, GA. He was the widower-of Hedy Cantrell Watts.
Born in Rabun County July 9, 1932, the son of the late Rosa Watts and spent all of his life in Rabun County. Buster was a carpenter by trade and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean war and was a member of the Rocky Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hedy, vby daughter, Vickie Littrell mother Rosa and step father J.A. Addis and is survived by a daughter Tammy Macnear (Bobby) of Baldwin, GA. One grandson, Dale Litterell (Jennifer) of Cornelia,, GA., . one great grandson, Justin Littrell of Cornelia,GA., one great granddaughter, Elizabeth Littrell of Cornelia., one brother, Oden Watts of North Carolina.
Funeral Services will be at the Rocky Grove Baptist Church Saturday September 16, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Joe McCrackin officatting. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military honors.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home and will be taken to Rocky Grove Baptist Church Friday September 15, 2017 for visitation from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday evening. The family is at their respective residences.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
