Victor Franks, 92, of Highway 76 East, Clayton, Georgia., died Sunday February 1, 2015 in Macon, Georgia.
He was born July 2, 1922 in Blue Ridge, Georgia., and had spent most of his life in North Carolina and Rabun County, Georgia. He was an automobile mechanic and was a U.S. Army Veteran of WW II and the Korean War. He spent a lot of time in combat zones. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his son Sgt., Steve Franks, June 21, 2006., and Victor is survived by a daughter, Barbara Price (Victor) of Phenix City, Alabama, one son, David Franks of Toccoa, GA., a special friend, David Mooney of Clayton, GA., three grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday February 4, 2015 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Kilby officiating with military honors. Private burial services will be at Roane Cemetery.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where visitation will be Tuesday February 3, 2015 from 6 to 8 P.M. The family is at their respective residences.
