Verlon C. Bradshaw , 76 , of Hwy 76 W. , Clayton died Saturday Jan.17 , 2009 in Mtn. Lakes Medical Center , Clayton.
Born in Towns County , Georgia Sept. 25 , 1932 he was the son of the late Clint and Carrie Eller Bradshaw. He was employed with Republic Steel in Canton , Ohio for 33 years, and was a Korean War Veteran serving in Korea and was the Recipient of The Purple Heart . He was of the Church of God faith .
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Creed and Elbert Bradshaw and is survived by three brothers Robert Grady of Summerville , Ohio . , Jack Bradshaw and Alvin C. Bradshaw, both of Clayton , Ga. One sister, Leona B. Tyler of Clayton. And by several nephews , nieces and cousins.
Funeral Services will be at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday Jan.20 , 2009 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Glenville Nichols officiating . Burial will be in The Blalock Cemetery , Rt.2 Clayton .
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Monday Jan.19, 2009 .The family is at their respective residences.
