Verlene Alexander Holt

Verlene Alexander Holt, age 82 of Shady Side Dr, in Clayton, GA passed away pm Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at her home. 

Born November 4, 1937 in Rabun County, GA she was the daughter of the late William Alexander and Margie Seay. She lived her life in Rabun County, GA and worked as a seamstress for RONCO (Ronland Coleman) and was of the Baptist Faith. 

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, William "Bill" H. Holt, by five brothers, James, Gus, Frank, Wallace and Ross Alexander and by two sisters, Della Hopper and Lola Mae Coleman. She is survived by two sons, Michael and Kathy Hunter of Clarkesville, GA, Johnny Hunter of Clayton, GA, by one daughter, Lillian and Howard Waters of Clayton, GA and by three sisters, Gladys Webb of Clarkesville, GA, Essie Faye Justus of Clayton, GA and Maryann and Floyd Henslee of Rabun Gap, GA. Three grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive. 

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home and will be taken to Blue Heights Cemetery on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 11:00am for a graveside service with Rev. Danny Cannon officiating.

The family is at the home on Shady Side Dr. in Clayton, GA.
