Vera Hudson

Mrs. Vora Elaine Hudson, 57, of East Main Street, Kingston passed away Monday (December 23, 2013) at the residence.

Mrs. Hudson was born in Kingston, Georgia, April 5, 1956, daughter of the late Howard Keeney and Vera Head Keeney. She was a member of Kingston Methodist Church. Mrs. Hudson enjoyed quilting, working in her yard and building things.

She is survived by her husband of twenty-two years, Bennie Hudson of Kingston, 2 brothers, Eddie Brooks of Folsom Community and Lamar Keeney of Kingston; 2 sisters, Stella K. Hopkins of Kingston and Teresa Faye Keeney of Kingston; 3 goddaughters, Mandy Allen, Deborah Stanley, and Daphney Stanley; 2 nieces, Snody Duck and Xavier Michaels; 2 nephews, Eric Lowe and Thorn Burke.

The family will receive friends Friday, December 27, 2013, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville. Funeral services will begin Friday, at 8:00 PM at the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, with Min. Joel Miller officiating. The family will also be having a visitation, Saturday, December 28, 2013 in Clayton, Georgia at Macedonia Baptist Church from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Interment will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
