Troy Delana Williams, 83, of Baldwin, GA., died Saturday May 11,2019, at his home with his loving family around him.
Born in Collinsville, Alabama, he was the son of the late Willis and Mariah Swindell Williams and spent his childhood life in Alabama, but his adult life in North Georgia and Baldwin, GA., for the past 30 years. He was a retired truck driver with Smith Transfer Company. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Cornelia, GA.
Troy was twice married, first to the late Barbara Speed Williams and to Mildred Standridge in 2011, who survives.
Troy was preceded in death by his first wife Barbara Speed and a daughter, Phillis Dockins and son-in-law, David Dockins, son-in-law, Kenneth Grizzle, and granddaughter, Kelly Williams in Jan. 2019. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Standridge Williams of the home and by a daughter, Maria Williams Grizzle of Social Circle, GA. Four grandchildren, Deena Haney, Greg Welch, Scott Grizzle and David Dockins, four great grandchildren and three step children.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday May 14, 2019 at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in the Warwoman Community, Clayton, GA., with Pastor Phillip Yarber and Pastor Raymond Page officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where visitation will be Monday Night May 13, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. The family is at their respective residences.
