Memorial services for Timothy “Honky” Owens, age 57, of Clayton will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, April 10, 2011 at the Moccasin Creek State Park with the Rev. Robin Welborn, Rev. Michael Rogers, Rev. Doyle Patterson, and Mr. Tony Owens officiating.

Mr. Owens passed away April 4, 2011 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Born September 26, 1953 in Clayton, Georgia, Mr. Owens was the son of Jane McRee and the late Calvin Owens. Mr. Owens was a self-employed carpenter and he was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his mother Jane McRee, sons Jody Owens, Josh Owens and Jonah Owens, brothers Tony Owens, Randy Owens, and Ricky Bradley, sister Melney Hopper. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Stephen Owens, Nolan Owens, Logan Owens, and Ethan Owens, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
