Thomas Evans Robinson

September 14, 1956 — March 28, 2025

Clayton, GA

Thomas Evans Robinson, 68, of Rabun County, GA, went to his heavenly home on March 28, 2025, while surrounded by loved ones. Born in Clayton, Georgia, on September 14, 1956, he was raised in Rabun County with his brothers and sister by his parents, Parker and Zura Robinson. God and Family was instilled in the Robinson children from an early age by those who raised them. Thomas, the baby brother of the family, had a strong work ethic and deep love for all the people in his life. He made sure that everyone was cared for and knew the love he had for them up until the day that he passed. Thomas was a dedicated husband and family man. He served in the Army and received an Honorable Discharge in 1975 while station at Fort Jackson, SC. He attended Piedmont College. In 1985, Thomas met the love of his life Joann, while working as a Supervisor at Fieldale Farms in Cornelia. They later moved to Macon, GA and operated a lawncare business together. In 1995, they legally wed and together they unselfishly returned home to Rabun County to provide support and care for family members.

Thomas was an entrepreneur with a great business mind and a wonderful sense of humor. Because of his good nature, gift of gab and outgoing personality, he was often told by peers that he was an “unelected” politician. During his life, he developed the hobby and interest in acquiring family property and developing homes. He dedicated his life to faith, family and work.

Thomas is survived by his beloved wife, Joann; his brothers, Collier "Doug" Robinson, Jerry M. Robinson (Linda), Roger Robinson; his children, Thomas Christoper Fry, Barbara Greer (Davis), step-son, Anthony Broduer, his grandchildren, Colin Christoper Fry, Addison Elizabeth Fry, Garret Greer, Remington Greer, Aubrey Arreguin, Seth Brodeur, Carl Joseph Broduer and many nieces and nephews and faithful friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Zura and Parker Robinson; his sister, Lillian; his brother Robert Robinson.

Thomas will be remembered as a hard worker, and man of faith who loved life and community. But mostly, he will be remembered for his dedication to his wife, brothers, and his family.
