Thomas Lovell

Thomas Howell (Tommy) Lovell, 75, of Old 441 South, Tiger, GA died Saturday May 25, 2013 at his residence. He was the husband of Joyce Nichols Lovell for 56 years.

Born in Rabun County, December 7, 1937, he was the son of the late Grady H. Lovell and Clifford Ramey Lovell. He was a graduate of Rabun County High School and Southern Technical College and was a Civil Engineer for the state of Georgia. He engineered the building and expansion system and bridges in the four lanes of HWY. 441 and 365 from Tallulah Falls to Hall County and to other areas. He was a member of NRA and was a member of Clayton Baptist Church.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Joyce Nichols Lovell of the home, a son, Wes Lovell of Tiger, GA and a daughter, Lisa Butts (James) of Tiger, GA. Five grandchildren; Jacob, Cameron, Andrea, Morgan and Logan and several cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday May 28, 2013 at the Clayton Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Joey Thompson. Burial will be in the Rabun Memory Park. The body will be placed in the church at 12:00 noon to lie in state where the family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 to 2:00 PM (the Funeral hour). The family is at the home on Old 441 South in Tiger.
