Thomas Fountain, Jr., 78, of Clayton, Georgia., died Sunday July 20, 2014 at his residence.
Born in Rabun Gap, Georgia., October 1, 1935 he was the son of the late Thomas Fountain, Sr., and Vassie Garland Fountain. He was a self-employed carpenter and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Wolffork Baptist Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, David Fountain, Buford Fountain Calvin Fountain, and Reno Fountain and by a sister, Gene Fountain Whiten, and is survived by two sons, R.S. Fountain and Thomas “Tee” Fountain both of Clayton, GA., three daughters, Teresa Fountain, Mt. City, GA., Tina F. Roach, Hollywood, GA., and Amanda Fountain of Clayton. One brother, Lewis Fountain, of Clayton and by three sisters, Irene Lamb of Rabun Gap., Nancy Ayers of Clayton and Cinda Massengill of Lula, GA. Three grandchildren, Kassie Fountain, Courtney Cox and Amber Burrell and four great grandchildren, Maxwel, Davanee, Jaxson and Winni.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday July 22, 2014 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Burrell and Rev. Buddy McKay officiating. Burial will be in the Wolffork Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends Monday night July 21, 2014 from 6 to 8 P.M. The family is at the home on Oak Crescent Circle, Clayton, Georgia. Family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to Hunter Funeral Home P.O. Box 653 Clayton, GA. 30525 to aid in funeral expenses.
