Sylvia Franklin Heinle

Sylvia Franklin Heinle, age 85 of Saint Petersburg, FL and Clayton, GA, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Traces of Tiger in Tiger, GA.

Sylvia was born on June 30, 1938, in Phoenix City, AL and was the daughter of the late Gus Edward “GE” Franklin and Gertrude Davis Franklin of Toccoa, GA.

She loved traveling, music, dancing, gardening, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 

Sylvia worked in Human Resources at Clayburn, Mfg. in Clayton Ga and also at Ridgecrest Medical Center as a receptionist before marrying her late husband Bernie Heinle who was the love of her life. They spent 30 happy years together living in Saint Petersburg in the Winter, and Tate City on the Tallulah River in the Spring and Summer.

She is survived by two sons, Edd Edwards of Virginia and David Edwards of Clayton, Ga; Three grandchildren, and Five great-grandchildren.

All are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at the Eastside Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home in Clayton, GA starting at 2pm followed by a meal.
