Susie Smith

Susie Belle Smith, 96, of the Wolf Creek Community RT. 1, Tiger, Georgia., died Friday August 23, 2013 in Mountain View Health Care, Clayton, Georgia.

Born in Rabun County February 26, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Marvin H. Smith and Julia West Smith. She was a registered nurse (RN) and was a nurse at Georgia Baptist Hospital in Atlanta and for Dr. BL. Shackleford. She was a member of the Wolf Creek Baptist Church.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers; and is survived by two sisters; Louise Smith Patterson of New Bern, NC., and Anne Smith Johnson of Tiger, GA. Two brothers; Curtis Smith and sister- in-law Marguerite of Stella, NC., and Roland Smith of Lakemont, GA. Two nephews Dennis F. Johnson and Jonathan J. Johnson of Atlanta, GA. Two nieces, Joallison Brosius of Berea, KY., and Julie Hoialmen of Roswell, GA. These nephews and nieces were like grandchildren to her.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Sunday August 25, 2013 in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Cannon officiating. Burial will be in the Wolf Creek Cemetery.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends Sunday August 25, 2013 from 1 P.M. TO 2 P.M. (The funeral Hour).

Family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made, in her memory, to the Wolf Creek Cemetery Fund P.O. Box 306 Wiley, GA. 30581.
