Susan Alexander Taylor

Susan Alexander Taylor, 98, of Mountain City, GA passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at her home with her family by her side.

She was born on June 13, 1925, in Habersham County to the late Alvin Alexander and Drucilla Warren Alexander. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard C. Taylor whom she married on March 11, 1945.

Susan, together with her husband, operated Taylor's Grocery Store for 14 years, which was conveniently connected to their home. She cherished traveling and spending quality time with her family

She is survived by her three children, Gary C. Taylor (Dianne), Bruce Taylor (Julia), and Brenda Taylor Hooper; grandchildren, Shane Taylor, Shona Purcell (Greg), Shannon Bleckley (Josh), Jennifer Green (Jim), Austin Taylor (Page), and Jessica Sutton (David); 20 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband she is preceded by one son, Michael Taylor; grandson, Joshua Hooper; son-in-law, Charles "Chuck" Hooper; siblings, Lou Belle Dotson, Mildred Donaldson, Emanuel Alexander, and John P. Alexander.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Goss and Rev. Madison McCrackin officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM prior to the service. Interment will follow at Mountain Grove Cemetery.
