Steven Orville Ostas, 65, of Boggs Mountain Road, Tiger, GA, died Monday, September 14, 2009, at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.
Born November 7, 1943 in Rockland County, New York he was a son of the late Mike and Agnes Spicer Ostas Skinner. He was a Lineman in the Electrical industry, a U.S. Navy veteran having served in Vietnam, a member of the NRA, the American Legion and a member of the Boggs Mountain Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons; Sean Ostas of the home and Steven P. Ostas of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, ; one daughter, Stacy Ostas, of Deerfield Beach, FL,; one brother, Mike Ostas of Congers, New York, step-father Bill Skinner of Tallulah Falls, GA.
Funeral services will be at eleven o’clock Thursday, September 17, 2009 at the Boggs Mountain Baptist Church with the Rev. Vaughn Stancil and Rev. Avery Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in the Rock Mountain Cemetery in Tallulah Falls.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home and will be placed in the Boggs Mountain Baptist Church Wednesday, September 16, 2009, where the family will receive friends from 6 until 9 PM Wednesday night. The family is at the home on Boggs Mountain Road.
