Steve Norris Justus, 59, of the Germany Community, Clayton, Georgia., and affectionately known as “Corn Bread” died Thursday January 2, 2014 in Emory at Midtown, Atlanta, Georgia.
He was born in Rabun County November 14, 1954 to Norris O. Justus and Elizabeth Gragg. He was retired from the textile industry. He was a U.S. Army Veteran from the Vietnam era and was a member of the Mountain Grove Baptist Church.
Steve was preceded in death by his father; Norris O. Justus and by a daughter, Lindsay Lael Justus and is survived by his mother Elisabeth Epperson of Canton, GA. A daughter Stevie Holland (Michael) of Otto, NC, a grandson, Brock Holland of Otto, NC- two sons, John Thompson of Hardwick, GA., and Mike Thompson of Roswell, GA., and by five brothers, Tim Justus (Cynthia), Dale Justus (Cindy), Scott Justus (Rhonda) , Chris Justus, and Donny Justus (Diedra) all of Clayton and a close Companion, Kay York of Clayton.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Sunday January 5, 2014 at Mountain Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Cannon officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain Grove Cemetery.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Saturday night January 4, 2014. The body will be placed in the church at 1:00 P.M. Sunday January 5, 2014 to lie-in-state. The family is at home on North Germany Road, Clayton, Georgia. The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made, in his memory, to Hunter Funeral Home, P.O. Box 653, Clayton, GA. 30525, to aid in funeral expenses.
