Stephen (Steve) Gipson, 61, of Victory Lane, in the five points community, Clayton, Georgia. died Monday evening October 3, 2011 in Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville, GA.
Born in Rabun County, June 22, 1950, He was the son of Fred Gipson and Irene Queen. He was employed at Sangamo – Weston for several years and at Ridgecrest Hospital. He was of the Baptist Faith.
He was preceded in death by a brother, David Dockins and by his Maternal grandparents Cecil and Bertha Moore Queen, and is survived by his parents, Irene Queen Dockins of Clayton, GA., and Fred Gipson of Lakemont, GA. and by two brothers, Mike Queen of Clayton, and Allen Dockins of Villa Rica, GA.Several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.
The body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating.
The family is at the home and will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday October 8, 2011, one hour before service time (1:00 – 2:00 P.M.).
The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made, in his memory, to Boggs Mountain Humane Shelter, 261 Boen Creek Road, Tiger, GA. 30576.
