Stanley Arrendale, 81 of Sandy Springs Road Athens.Ga, formerly of Rabun County, died Wednesday, December 07,2011 at his residence. Stan was born in Batesville Ga, September 11,1930. He was the son of the late Edwin and Allie Bradshaw Arrendale. Stan was the widower of Ida Mae Cantrell Arrendale. He was a retired automotive painter, veteran of the U.S. Army and was of the Baptist Faith. A Brother Steve, and Sisters Grace, Gladys, and Catherine preceded him in death. Stan is survived by a special companion, Mary Adams of Athens, Ga. Grand Children Rocky Gibson, Rhonda Wilson, Jean Foster and Ricky Gibson: 10 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great Great Grandchildren. Several Nephews, Nieces and Cousins also survive. Funeral Services will be Friday December 9th at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Habersham County. The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where Family will receive friends from 11:00am until 12:00 noon Friday, December 9,2011, with the services at 12:00noon. Family is at their respective residence.
