Shirley Shedd

Shirley Tyler Shedd 58, of Mize Road Demorest, Georgia died Wednesday March 6, 2013

Born in Clayton, Georgia on September 4, 1954, Mrs. Shedd was the daughter of the late Sambo Giles and Margaret Jean Tyler Worley. Mrs. Shedd spent her life in the healthcare profession and taking care of others. She had been a nurse at the old Clayton Hospital and Ridge Crest for several years and she also worked at Tara Plantation and Compassionate Hospice. Shirley was a four year cancer survivor and will be remembered by her family and many friends for being a loving caregiver and her willingness to take care of others. Mrs. Shedd was a member of the Harvest Bible Fellowship Church in Clarkesville.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shedd is preceded in death by one son, Samuel Roy Williams and her beloved grandparents, Samuel and Genie Bell Tyler.

Mrs. Shedd is survived by her loving husband, Charles Edward “Eddie” Shedd of the home, one brother, Gary Worley of Cornelia, GA, two sisters, Lydia Worley Wilkinson of Toccoa, GA, and Denise Worley Dover of Clarkesville, GA. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Anthony Rabern and Rev. Alvin Burns officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery. Tiger, Georgia.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 8, 2013 from 6 to 9 P.M. at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home. The Family is at their respective residences.
