Shirley Jean Ramey

Shirley Jean Ramey, age 88, of Tiger, GA passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024. Born on June 28, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Chester Raeburn Wells and Marjorie Aydt Wells. She was married to her loving husband, Bobby Robert Ramey.

Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She dedicated her life to caring for her family as a stay-at-home mom. She enjoyed spending time with her chihuahuas and liked going to yard sales whenever she could.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Bobby Jr. and Marty Ramey; a brother-in-law Brian Welch; sister-in-law Claudia Wells and one great grandchild.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Bobby Robert Ramey; three daughters, Marjorie Johnson (Alan) Zaharko of Savannah, GA, Diane Steele (Nick) and Lisa Almzan (Carlos) of Clayton, GA; Five sons, Stephen Ramey (Angela) of Midland, GA, Mike Ramey, Tommy Ramey (Becky), Wayne Ramey (Christy) of Clayton, GA, and Jimmy Ramey (Amber) of Otto, NC; 23 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild on the way. Three ex-daughters in law that were like daughters, Lynne Ramey, Judy Ruble and Ramona Dawn; three brothers, Skip Wells (Pat) of Auburn, WA, Terry Wells (Louise) of Snohomish, WA and Rick Wells of Sandpoint, ID; and one sister, Sandy Welch (Brian) of Medford, OR.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024, at 3:00 pm at Rocky Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Kyle Watts officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow the service at Rocky Grove Cemetery.
