Savannah Justus Welborn, 90, of Tiger, Georgia., died Wednesday evening November 12, 2014 at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was the widow of the late Buster Brown Welborn.
Savannah was born June 15, 1924 in Clayton, Georgia., to the late Issac Benson Justus and Mary Ellen McDowell Justus. She worked for Claybourne MFG. and Burlington Industries for many years, and was of the Methodist Faith.
She was preceded in death besides her parents and husband by one brother, T.C. Justus and two sisters, Juanita Hopper and Ibbie Bradley.
She is survived by one son, Alton Nelson Welborn. Two brothers, James Justus and Doug Justus. Three sisters, Allene Church, Virginia Ivester and Fanny May Justus. Two grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services will be Saturday November 15, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Cannon officiating. Burial will follow in Rabun Memory Park Tiger, Georgia.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday November 14, 2014. The family is at home on Wiley Dickerson Lane Tiger, Georgia.
