Sarah Rickman

Sarah Dickson Rickman , 89 , of Clayton , widow of John Franklin Rickman died Monday April 18 , 2016 in Greenville , S.C. Born in Rabun County May 8 , 1926 she was the daughter of the late Robert F. Dickson and Isabelle Flinakin Dickson.

She was a retired registered nurse (RN) and was a member of the Clayton First United Methodist Church

She was preceded in death , besides her husband and parents , by a grandson , Clint Rickman and is survived by two daughters Cathy Rickman Pietraszuk (Peter) of Atlanta , Ga. Lisa Rickman Tice (Jeff) of Greenville , S.C. two sons , John Rickman and Luther Rickman of Clayton , Ga. One brother , Robert “Sonny” Dickson of Sarasota , FL. , one sister , Betsy Myers (Fred) of Atlanta , Ga. Eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services will be at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday April 20, 2016 at the Clayton First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeremy Lawson officiating .Private graveside services will follow at Pickett Cemetery.

The body is at Hunter funeral home and will be taken to the Church at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday April 20, 2016 to lie in state.

Vistation will be in the fellowship hall of Clayton First United Methodist Church from 1 to 3 P.M. (The funeral hour).

The family is at their respective residences.
