Sarah Elizabeth Murray

Sarah Elizabeth Murray, 91, of the Lakemont Community, passed away on January 19, 2023. She was a lifelong resident of Rabun County and was the daughter of the late, Andrew and Pearl Manley Watts. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Douglas “Bill” Murray and her son Robert D. Murray.

She is survived by one daughter, Cathy Paulette Murray Carpenter; a daughter-in-law, Jewell Murray; two grandsons, Robert Lee Carpenter, and John D. Murray (Holly); and two great grandchildren, Luke, and Samuel Murray.

She is preceded in death by two sisters Edith Soseby and Mary Young.

Private graveside services will be held at Rabun Memory Park.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
