Sandra McKay Turpin, 53, of Mountain City, Georgia died Wednesday February 9, 2011 at her residence.
Born February 17, 1957 in Rabun County, she was the daughter of the late Effeard and Dorothy Garland McKay. She was the wife of Bob Turpin.
She was employed in the textile industry with Clarkesville Mills, along with being a homemaker. She was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Russell McKay; and is survived by her husband, Bob Turpin of the home, by two brothers, Rev. Buddy McKay of Tiger and by Randy McKay of Lakemont; several nephews, nieces and cousins also survive.
Graveside Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday February 12, 2011 at the Godfrey Cemetery in the Chechero Community on U.S. Highway 76East with Rev Buddy McKay conducting the service.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 To 8 P.M. Friday February 11, 2011.
The Family is at the home of her brother and sister-in-law Randy and Tanya McKay on McCall Lane, Lakemont, Georgia.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
