HUNTER FUNERAL HOME P.O. BOX 653 CLAYTON, GA 30525 706-782-4243 Sandra Coan McClure, 70, of Sky Valley Way, Sky Valley, widow of Larry McClure, Jr. died Sunday December 30, 2007 at her residence.
Born July 8, 1937 in Rockingham County, VA she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Kanney Coan. Mrs. McClure was a bookkeeper in the Development Industry and was a member of the Clayton Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Ideal Sunday School Class.
Survivors include two daughters; Lee McClure Hussey and husband Scott of Marshall, NC, Melissa McClure of Charlotte, NC, three brothers; Frank Coan of Gainesville, John Coan of the Phillipines, Howard Coan of Dillard GA, one sister; Dorthea Davis of Hurst, TX, four grandchildren; Ayla, Jordan, Lily and Misty Hussey, several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM Thursday January 3, 2008 at the Clayton Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Carver and Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in Rabun Memory Park Cemetery.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Wednesday January 2, 2008, and will be placed in the church to lie in state at 1 PM on Thursday January 3, 2008 until the funeral hour. The family is at the home in Sky Valley.
Flowers are optional or memorials may be made in her memory to the M.A.C. Building Fund, Clayton Baptist Church, 87 South Church Street, Clayton, GA 30525.
