Sammy Oscar Green, 76, of John Beck Dockins Road, Rabun Gap, Georgia, Died Tuesday August 18, 2009 at his home.
Born in Murphy, NC. , He was the son of the late Sam Wenslow Green and Martha Carley Green. He was employed in the Pulpwood in the Timber Industry for many years and also worked in a Steel Mill. He attended the Ole Country Church, Westminster, SC. He was the last member of his immediate family.
His family is his special caregivers; Joann Eads and her daughter, Sherri Eads Gragg, and her brothers, Bud, Joey, and Billy Eads who live in Hayesville, NC; also are the students of Fox Fire and Rabun County High School.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Clint and Hubert Green, and by two Sisters, Myrtle Garnett and Leona Mosteller.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday August 20, 2009 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Dean Green and Rev. Delbert McCall. Burial will be in the Rocky Grove Cemetery in the Bridge Creek Community.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M. tonight, August 19, 2009. Extended family is at the home of Sherri Eads Gragg on John Beck Dockins Rd, Rabun Gap, Ga.
