Sallie Mae Wilbanks Smith, 88, of Wolf Creek Rd. Tiger, Ga. died Monday night January 18 , 2016 at her home .

Born in Rabun County February 17, 1927, She was the daughter of the late Marlor Wilbanks and Wilda Nations Wilbanks. She was the widow of Clive Smith. She was a Homemaker and a member of the Wolf Creek Baptist Church.

Sallie Mae was preceded in death , besides her parents and husband , by four brothers, Andy , Norman , Hubert , and Stanford Wilbanks and by three sisters, Ethel Young , Nina Stephens and Mary Arthur . She is survived by two sons , Luther Smith (Katy) of Colorado Springs, Colorado and David S. Smith (Betty ) of Tiger, Georgia. One daughter Wilda Brooks of Tiger, Ga. Six grandchildren , Johnny McDaniel , Marcus McDaniel , Kevin Smith , Shondale Brooks , Joshua Smith and Kimberly Sorrells. Two brothers , Hicks Wilbanks of Lakemont, Ga. and Bartley Wilbanks of Toccoa , Ga. Four sisters, Florine Wall of Tiger, Ga. , Beulah Smith of Clayton, Ga., Lurlene Stephens of Lakemont, Ga., Jewel Speed of Clayton, Ga. and fourteen great grandchildren also survive.

Graveside Services to be held Wednesday January 27, 2016 at the Wolf Creek Cemetery at 2:00 PM.with Rev. Jim Carver and Rev. Larry Cannon officiating.


The family is at the home on Wolf Creek Rd. Tiger, Ga.
