Sallie Stancil Nichols, 80, Clayton, Georgia
Sallie Stancil Nichols, 80, of Sword Lane, Clayton, Georgia., died Tuesday March 15, 2011 at her residence with her loving family by her side.
Born in Rabun County Georgia August 9, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Bessie Smith Stancil. She was a homemaker and a member of the Mountain City Church of God for over 50, years and she loved her friends and family very much.
She was preceded in death besides her parents by her husband, of 62, years Creed Nichols, three sisters, Alice Stancil, Mildred Turpen, and Hazel Lovell, one brother, Rabun Stancil.
She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-laws, Kenneth and Judy Nichols of Clayton, GA, and Dennis and Rhonda Nichols of Lakemont, GA. three daughters and a son-in-law, Eulene Brown of Rabun Gap, GA Janie and Tom Henderson of Sautee, GA and Jeanette Beck of Clayton, GA, two sisters, Doris Miller of Clayton, GA., and Grace Bennett of Hiawassee, GA., 10, Grand Children, Jason Brown, Beth N. Scruggs, Shawn Henderson, Dulene B. Jones, Dawn H. Barron, Jonathan Beck, Chad Nichols, Melissa B. Webb, Jeffrey and Jackson Nichols. 13, Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday March 17, 2011 at the Hunter Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wren Worley and Rev. Jewel Gains officiating. Burial will follow in the Persimmon Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jarvis Bennett conducting the graveside Service.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends Wednesday March 16, 2011 from 6 to 9 P.M.
The family is at the home on Sword Lane, in the five points community Clayton.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
