Ruth Lee Lovell Sutton, 86, of Dunlap Street, Clayton, GA., died Saturday night May 10, 2008 in Mountain Lakes Medical Center.
Born in Rabun County, GA. April 4, 1922. She was the daughter of the late John Lovell and Martha Lovell. She was the widow of Thomas Alvin Sutton, SR. She was a homemaker and attended the Baptist church.
She was the last member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by two sons; Guarry Jones and Calvin Sutton, SR., and by 3 grandchildren; Angel Sutton, Ronnie Carter and Benjamin Woodall.
She is survived by three sons and their spouses; Thomas Sutton, JR. and Carolyn Sutton of Clayton, GA., Reid and Tina Jones of Clayton, GA., Larry and Donna Jones of Mtn. City, GA.; Three daughters and two sons-in-law; Louise and A.V. Carter of Wiley, GA., Lena Mae and Charles Henslee of Loganville, GA., and Nancy Woodall of Mtn. City, GA., 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. One sister-in-law; Mary Holcomb of Wiley, GA.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday May 14, 2008 at the Blue Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Cannon and Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in the Rocky Grove Cemetery in the Bridge Creek community. The body will be placed in the church at 1:00 PM, Wednesday to Lie in State.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home, where family will receive friends from 6 to 9 PM Tuesday night May 13, 2008.
The family is at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Carolyn Sutton on Dunlap Street in Clayton, GA.
