Russell Hunnicutt

Russell C. Hunnicutt, 68, of Mountain City, Georgia., died Friday January 17, 2014 at his residence.

He was born in Rabun County August 9, 1945 to Jable and Corrie Eller Hunnicutt. Russell was a heavy equipment operator and was a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam. He was of the Baptist Faith.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers; Lewis and Ted Hunnicutt and by a sister, Joy Hunnicutt Singletary and is survived by his wife, Rose Emory Hunnicutt of the home; one son, Scott Hunnicutt (Michelle) of Mt. City, two daughters, Kimberly Deal (David) of Mt. City and Donna Bennett (Phillip) of Lawrenceville, GA. Two brothers, Buster Hunnicutt of Otto, NC., and Ed Hunnicutt of Mt. City. Three sisters, Lena Gragg of Lakemont, Lorraine Myer of Jacksonville, FL., and Laura Penland of Mt. City. Eight grandchildren, Heather (Jereme), Joseph, Rusty, Rhett, Raechel, Marcie, Cody and Miranda. Two great grandchildren, Westin and Koltin. Several beloved nephews and nieces also survive.

The body is being cremated and a memorial service will be at a later date. The family is at the home on Electric Ave. in Mt. City.
