Roy Vincent Fisher, 58, of Walhalla, South Carolina., formerly of Rabun County, Georgia., died Wednesday August 14, 2013 at his residence in Walhalla.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland May 18, 1955, he was the son of the late Okie V. Fisher and Viola Plaster Fisher. He was a dry wall hanger and finisher in the construction industry and was of the Baptist Faith.
He was preceded in death by a son, Roy Vincent Fisher, Jr., and is survived by his wife, Donnetta Wilson Fisher of the home- one son, Roy Alan Fisher of the home, two daughters, Gina Fisher of Clayton, GA., and Shelia Fisher of Long Creek, SC., his step father, James Daugherty of Clayton, GA., two brothers, Robert Larry Lodge of Amarilla, TX., and James Daniel Daugherty of Clayton, GA., four sisters; Marlene Thomas of Clayton, GA., Diane Harmon of Lakemont, GA., Vera Turpin of Hiawassee and Kathy Fisher of Walhalla, SC., eight grandchildren and several nephews, nieces, cousins and friends also survive.
The body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held Tuesday August 20, 2013 at Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home at 7:00 P.M. conducted by Rev. Thomas Burrell. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. (the funeral hour).
