Ronnie Keener, 66, of Elberton, Georgia., formerly of Rabun County Georgia., died Saturday November 15, 2014 at his home in Elberton.
Born in Rabun County January 19, 1948, he was the son of the late Ed Keener and Kate Curtis Green Keener. He was a meat cutter for several meat markets and was a member of North Clayton Baptist Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers; Michael Keener, Curtis Keener and Jerry Keener and is survived by a son, Dean Keener of Rabun Gap, two daughters; Michelle Bussey (Robert) of Tiger, GA., and Lauren Stewart (Chris) of Lakemont, GA., and his friend and mother of his children, Marie Messer Keener Conner. Three brothers, Steve Keener of Rabun Gap, GA., Brownlow Green of Franklin, NC., and Rev. David Green of Mt. Vernon, KY. Four grandchildren, Denise, Amanda, Derrick and Courtney and four great grandchildren, Wesley, Chance, Zailynn and Waveley. Several nephews, nieces and cousins also survive.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday November 20, 2014 at 12:00 P.M. at the Wolffork Baptist Church with Rev. David Green officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends Wednesday November 19, 2014 from 6 to 8 P.M. The family is at their respective residences.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
