Roger Thomas

Roger Thomas, Sr., 65, of Dillard, GA died Friday October 12,2018 in Stephens County Hospital in Toccoa, GA.

Born in Sarasota, Florida January 19,1953, he was the son of the late Samuel R. Thomas and Edith HedlundThomas. He had lived the greater part of his life in Florida. He was the widower of Darla Jones Thomas.

Roger was a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry and was of Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel R. Thomas and Edith Heplund Thomas and by his wife Darla Thomas and a brother, Richard Thomas and is survived by two sons, Roger J. Thomas, Jr. (Kimberlee) of Sarasota, Florida and Roland Thomas of Okeechobee, Florida, one daughter, Bobbie Jo Martin of Sebring, Florida, by three brothers, Milford Thomas of Immokalee, Florida, Sammy Thomas, Jr. of Cleweston Florida and Rob Thomas of Phoenix, Arizona, four sisters, Grace Palmer of Dillard, Georgia, Joyce Rhoden of Jonesville, South Carolina, Alice Thomas of Dillard, Georgia and Carol Hoffman of Rabun Gap, Georgia. Three grandchildren also survive.

The family is at their respective residences. The body has been cremated and no memorial service has been set.
