Roger Dean Holland, 78, of File Street, Mountain City, GA., died Tuesday July 15, 2008 in VA Hospital in Asheville, NC.
Born in Macon County, NC., he was the son of the son of the late Thomas Luther Holland and Octie Jane Tilton Holland. He spent the most of his working life in the construction industry. He was a member of the Sugar Fork Baptist Church in Franklin, NC.
He is survived be his wife, Betty Sue McDowell Holland of the home. Two sons- Thomas Daniel Holland of Franklin, NC. and Ronald Dean Holland of Covington, GA.; one daughter- Linda Sue Robinson of Mountain City, GA.; one sister- Joyce Evans of Kansas City, MO.; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by seven brothers and three sisters.
The body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held Saturday, July 19, 2008 in Franklin, NC. An online register book is available at www.hunterfuneralhomega.com
