Robert Lee Stancil 78, Clarkesville, GA


Robert Lee Stancil, 78, of Clarkesville, died Wednesday July 14, 2010 in the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia.
Born in Rabun County May 19, 1932 he was a son of the late Jesse w. and Ellen Dills Stancil. He was a bus driver for Tallulah Falls School and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Stancil and George Stancil; one sister Frances Ramey.
Survivors include two sisters, Gracie Dockins of Wiley, GA and Gladys Sprinkle of Hollywood, GA.; one sister-in-law and caregiver Daisy Stancil of Hollywood, GA; nieces, Tracy Tyler and Patsy Stewart; nephews, Jerry Hunnicutt, Kevin Sprinkle and Adam Stewart.
Funeral services will be 4 PM Friday July 17, 2010 at the Joy Baptist Church with the Rev. Tony Goss officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating at the graveside.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Thursday July 15, 2010. The family is at the home on Sanders Street in Clarkesville, Ga.
