Robert Dennis “Bob” Brost, age 90, of Dillard, GA passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at his residence.
Bob was born on October 30, 1931, in Tillamook, OR to the late John Nicholas Brost and Helen Evelyn (Chapman) Brost. He is survived by his wife Nancy Lee Brost whom he was married to for 60 years. Bob worked for many years as an Instrument Engineer, during which he worked for NASA, and he helped build the first rocket that went into space. He was a member of St. Helena Catholic church, and he was a loving husband, father, pop-pop and a devout catholic.
In addition to his wife Nancy, he is survived by one daughter, Robin Nicholson and husband Tim of Rabun Gap, GA; one son Joe Brost and wife Norma of Katy, TX; eight grandchildren, Justin Dye, Jason Dye, Cindy Dye Sarvis (Matt), Michael Brost, Christopher Brost, Ryan Brost, Madison Brost, and Brandon Brost; one great-grandchild Taylor Sarvis; and three brothers, Raymond Brost (Janet), Mike Brost (Sue) and John Brost.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded by two sisters, Ruth Brost and Carol Carballa; and two brothers, Dick and Gene Brost.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 3, 2022, at 1:30 pm at St. Helena Catholic Church. The family will receive friends prior to the services from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm. Burial will follow the service at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
