Robert Franklin (Frank) Buchanan, 69, of Holden Cove Lane Rabun Gap, GA., died February 22, 2017 in Atlanta, GA.,

Born in Rabun County, Georgia., May 20, 1947 he was the son of the late Claude T. Buchanan and Virginia Darnell Buchanan. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a carpenter and was of the Baptist Faith.

He was preceded in death, besides his parents, Claude and Virginia Buchanan by a brother Walter Buchanan and a sister, Ethel Davis and is survived by one step- son, Gary Deetz of Franklin, NC., one step-daughter, Niki Jiles of Mountain City, GA., three brothers, Alvin Buchanan (Ollie) of Clayton, GA., Rick Buchanan (Liz) of Clarkesville, GA., And Neville Buchanan of Clayton, GA., One sister, Mary Brown (Milton) of Rabun Gap, GA., three special nephews, Waylon Buchanan of Clayton, GA., Shane Brown of Rabun Gap, GA., Levi Buchanan of Clayton, GA., four step-grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be Saturday February 25, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Flats of Middle Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Danny Cannon officiating.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends Friday February 24, 2017 from 6 to 8 P.M. The family is at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Milton Brown on Holden Cove Lane, Rabun Gap, GA.
