Robert Anderson

Robert F. Anderson, Sr. 62, of Underwood Lane, Clayton, GA., died Friday November 22, 2013 at his home.

He was born April 23, 1951 in Peru, Indiana to Johnny Douglas Anderson and the late Margaret Jane Fultz Anderson. He worked in a defense plant making warheads, in auto manufacturing and for several years worked for Eller and Owens, delivering furniture and in the warehouse. He was a member of the Swannanoa Baptist Church in Buncombe County, NC. He was a member of the Army National Guard for eight years.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Justin Anderson and by a brother, Charles Anderson and is survived by his wife, Marlene Hamilton Anderson of the home. Two sons, Robert Francis Anderson, Jr., and Anthony Jacob Anderson, both of Buncombe County, NC. Five daughters; Brenda Barksdale of Palatka, FL., Tina Louise Davis of Buncombe, NC., Marie McRae of Murphy, NC., Melissa Marsengill of Clayton, GA., and Becky Dahl of Franklin, NC. One brother, Denny Grewell of Buncombe, Co. Two sisters; Gloria Trexler of Myrtle Beach, SC., and Ruth Medved of Tennessee. Ten Grandchildren also survive.

The body has been cremated by Hunter Funeral Home and a memorial service will be held at a later date. The family is at their respective residences.
