Ricky Lee Miller 45, Clarkesville, GA.

Ricky Lee Miller Ricky Lee Miller, 45, of Clarkesville, died peacefully at home May 24, 2009, surrounded by family and friends after a courageous battle against cancer.
Born April 15, 1964, to Elbert and Jean Miller, Ricky met the love of his life, Tammy Sue Medlock, at Habersham Central High School. They were married Jan. 31, 1981 and enjoyed 28 years together.
Ricky is also survived by his daughter, Kayla Sue and her husband, Jeff Waters, and expectant granddaughter, Morgan Ari; sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and David Dover of Clarkesville; brother, Randy Miller of Clarkesville; and a very large number of supportive and loving family members and friends.
Ricky was a well-known builder for more than 30 years and the owner of Miller Southern Construction .Those who knew him know he did nothing half-way. He loved to fish and make up fish stories, to ride his motorcycle and four-wheeler, and he excelled at making people laugh. He knew many people. Many people knew him as a true friend. He liked to say that people should see the humor in life and the good in all people. To his daughter, he was an incredible “Diddy” and he was “Uncle Ricky” to numerous youngsters, taking many under his wing. They looked up to him and responded to his big-heartedness. His generosity was as much a part of him as his humor. Ricky’s view was that life is not a journey filled with safe choices that should end with regrets and a quiet walk into eternity, but instead an adventure that should end by sliding into Heaven sideways, totally worn out, shouting “What a ride!” Ricky was larger than life. In his wake, many hearts are broken but he leaves a legacy of laughter, joy and stories that will be told again and again in the years to come.
A celebration of Ricky’s life will take place May 30, 2009, at his home in Clarkesville, at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his honor be made to the American Lung Association, Children’s Hospital of Atlanta or North Shore Animal League.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
