Richard Neil Rains, 62, Lakemont, Ga.


Richard Neil Rains, 62 of Hawk Hill Lane, Lakemont, Ga., died Friday February 19, 2010 at his home. He was the husband of Lynn Thompson Rains.
Born in Nashville, Tennessee. August 14, 1947 he was the son of the late William Jay Rains and Jean Hunt Rains. He was a Real estate appraiser with Rains Appraisel Group. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Viet Nam War and was an active member of the Clayton Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Mary Lynn Thompson Rains of the home. Sons; Michael Neil Rains, Kevin Rains and his wife Christine and Jason Rains and his wife Tiffany. Daughters and sons- in-law; Amanda and Patrick Collins and Kristin and Robert Evans; Brothers, twin brother, Robert Neil Rains and William O’Neil Rains. Six grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be at the Clayton Baptist Church Saturday February 27, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Joey Thompson officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Church from 10:00 A.M. To 11:00 A.M. Saturday morning February 27, 2010.
