Richard Coffey

Richard A. Coffey, 49, of Marsen Knob Drive Rabun Gap, Georgia., died Wednesday April 9, 2014 in Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia. He was the husband of Kerri Merritt Coffey.

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio June 21, 1964 he was the son of the late James William Coffey and Jean Darlene Kohler Coffey. He was a meat cutter at Ingles store for many years. He attended the Clayton Church of God.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Benard Thomas Coffey and Michael Alan Coffey and is survived by his wife, Kerri Merritt Coffey of the home, two step sons; Arin T. Lee, of Plantersville, Texas and Shane D. Lee of Lyons, Texas; two brothers, James William Coffey, Jr., of Villa Hills, KY., and Francis Patrick Coffey of New Port, KY., two sisters, Virginia Frady of Clayton, GA., and Theresa Luck of Rabun Gap, GA. Four grandchildren also survive.

The body has been cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later date. The family is at their respective residences.
