Rev. Sonny Ray Pless, 68, of Carnesville, GA, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born December 6, 1951, he was the son of the late Claude Pless and Mattie Merck. He worked for Fieldale Farms as a poultry worker and was a member of the Beulah Land Outreach Ministry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Mattie Pless and by a son, Roy Pless. He is survived by his wife Carol Head Pless of the home, by one son, Anthony and Wanda Pless of Toccoa, GA, a step-son, Shane and Sunshine Watts of Clayton, GA, by two daughters, Karen and Kevin Gaines of Toccoa, GA, Peggy Pless of Toccoa, GA, two brothers, Lloyd and Evelyn Pless of Toccoa, GA, Tommy and Janice Pless of Carnesville, GA, and by five sisters, Joann and Lindsey Fambrough of Tennessee, Martha and Grady Dutton of Toccoa, GA, Ruby Norris of Toccoa, GA, Linda and Jerry Gibby of Toccoa, GA and Joyce Stancil of Toccoa, GA. Sixteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren also survive.
There will be a graveside service on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at 2:00pm at Hale Ridge Cemetery in Clayton, GA with Rev. Brad Stancil officiating.
The family is at the home on Red Hill School Road in Carnesville, GA.
