Rev. J.C. Quilliams

Rev. J.C. Quilliams, 90 of Stagecoach Drive, Clayton, GA., Went home to be with the Lord on , Monday December 21, 2015 in Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

Born in Jackson County, North Carolina September 9, 1925, he was the son of the late Arthur G. Quilliams and Lillie King Quilliams. He had lived most of his life in Rabun County. Rev. Quilliams was a minster of the Gospel in the church of God for 73 years and had retired from Burlington Industries as the Grounds Keeper. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and had served as the Chaplain of the American Legion Post 220 of Clayton. He was a member of the Wiley Church of God.

He was twice married, first to the late Ester Mae Eller Quilliams and later to the late Ruth Marsengill Quilliams He was preceded Besides his parents and his wives, he was preceded in death by four sisters, and two brothers and is survived by four sons, Randall Quilliams (Kay) of Clayton, Raymond Quilliams (Michelina) of Clayton, Gary Quilliams (Faye) of Rabun Gap, GA., and Roy Quilliams (Stephanie) of Clayton, GA. One sister, Margie Quilliams Parker (Andrew) of Franklin, NC., nine grandchildren, Jim Bob Quilliams, Andrew Quilliams, Dwight Henry, Darrell Henry, Brian Morgan, Mandi Cantrell, Benjamin Quilliams, Jaden Quilliams and Journey Quilliams. Three great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services will be at the Clayton Church of God Sunday December 27, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Adam Wright, Rev. Clay Patton, Rev. Hank Conner and Layman Lloyd Hunter Officiating. Burial will be in Pickett Cemetery with Military Honors.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home and will be taken to the Clayton Church of God Saturday December 26, 2015 with visitation from 6 to 8 P.M. The family is at their respective residences.
