Rebecca Welch

Rebecca Kimberly Welch, 53, of Lakemont, GA, affectionately known as Kim, died Friday January 11, 2019 in Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born in Rabun County December 22, 1965 she was the daughter of Janice Kell Welch of Lakemont, GA and the late Theodore Welch. She was a homemaker and of the Church of God faith. 

Kim was preceded in death by her father, The Welch and is survived by her mother Janice Kell Welch, by her husband Kenneth Hastings, of the home, a son Dustin Welch of Clayton, GA serving in the US Navy, two daughters, Ashley Wilson of Clayton, GA, and Brooke Smith of Clayton, GA. Five grandchildren, Morgan Lovell, Grayson Wilson, Jentree Wilson, Amaiya Smith and Aleeya Smith. 

Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Wednesday January 16, 2019 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Teddy King officiating. Burial will be in the Welch Cemetery on Leafwood Lane in Clayton. The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where visitation will be Wednesday January 16, 2019 from 12:00 noon to 2:00pm (the funeral hour). The family is at the home on Connector Lane, Lakemont, GA.
