April 26, 2017 God granted Raymond “Cecil” McCall total healing when he called him peacefully to his Heavenly Home. Born in Clayton, Georgia., he was the son of john Victory and Myrtle Holcomb McCall. Cecil was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam era. He worked many years as an Orderly at the Rabun County Hospital, Ridgecrest Hospital and the Nursing Home. He also worked for Hunter Funeral Home for several years throughout his life. God gave him the gift Compassion and Empathy that comforted many people throughout the years. Later he worked in the Construction field. Cecil enjoyed hunting, fishing and just walking in the woods for solitude. He was a member of the Tiger Baptist Church.
Cecil was preceded in death by his parents, John and Myrtle. A brother, Carroll McCall and a sister, Joyce McCall. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Nancy of the home. A son, Bruce McCall (Cathy) of Maysville, GA., A son, Stacey McCall (Vicky) of Lula, GA., A daughter, Kristen English (Charity) of Titusville, FL., A sister and brother –in-law Martha and Dan Teague of Clayton, GA. Four grandchildren, Jessie McCall, Jacob McCall, Kailey McCall and Conner McCall. A aunt, Ida Lou Holcomb and a uncle, Dennis McClure. Several Nieces, nephews and Cousins also survive.
Funeral Services will be at Tiger Baptist Church, Saturday April 29, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. conducted by Rev. Tim Hunnicutt and Rev. Leon Miller., Layman Lloyd Hunter will conduct the graveside service. The body will lie in state from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 (The Service Hour). Burial will follow in the Wiley Presbyterian Cemetery.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where Visitation will be Friday April 28, 2017 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. in the Chapel. The family is at the home on White Poplar Lane Tiger, GA.
Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
