Dallas Cantrell, age 73, of the Warwoman Community, passed away at his home, June 12, 2018. Dallas was the son of the late Kitty McDowell. He was born July 31, 1944 in Murphy, NC.
Dallas was a jack of all trades, from running heavy equipment, logging, construction, boat mechanic at Paul’s Marine, working for Earl & John Dillard at The Dillard House, and his final job was at Reeves Building Supply assisting in customer service and building screens.
Dallas enjoyed trout fishing and riding the back roads of Warwoman. Always enjoyed being outdoors and gathering firewood, sitting around a campfire enjoying the company of friends and family.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda Kay Darnell Cantrell. Two sons, Shane (Sharon) Ramey, Clayton, GA and Dallas Ray (Mandi) Cantrell, Dillard, GA. A granddaughter, Autumn Ray Cantrell of Franklin, NC. Also one last surviving aunt, Mattie (Melvin) Speed of the Warwoman Community.
The body has been cremated and visitation for the family and friends is Friday, June 15, 2018 from 6-8pm at Hunter Funeral Home.
